ABOUT US

Village life can be idyllic but it can also come with frustrations. Fast, reliable broadband provided by the large telecoms companies still hasn't reached some parts of the country so that's why Gussage Wireless Network (GWNET) was founded; to provide a connection for those people who like the tranquility of country living but want to be in touch with the rest of the world.

Gussage Wireless Network (GWNET) was founded over 10 years ago by Daniel Simpson who at the time was a living in Gussage St Michael.

As a trained systems engineer Daniel was frustrated with the promises from the large broadband companies about when a fast service would reach the outlying parts of Dorset.

As it became clear that the wait would be a long one Daniel decided that he couldn't wait and so started to develop a method for delivering broadband to village residents and businesses.

Over a decade later the business has grown with many customers and businesses now using GWNET to get online.

GWNET operates as a small, local team.

Daniel still runs the business and now employs a technical support engineer as well as an aerial installation specialist.

If you have recently moved to the area and would like to know if your house can receive the GWNET broadband service please do get in touch.
